Kate Spade has introduced pint-sized handblown glass vases by Lenox.  These modern, chic vases are available in golden-rimmed blue, pink, green, and red.  They measure approximately 4″ high and cost $25 each.   These would make a great gift for someone special this holiday season.

It’s not  about a wide array of fancy foods and a big floral arrangement centered on the table…even Chuck Williams, founder of Williams-Sonoma agrees. 

As you begin thinking of the holiday dinner you are hosting at your home this holiday season, keep in mind that your guests will feel most comfortable with simple foods, welcoming decor, and good conversation.  Don’t stress about the perfect table setting or a divine dessert.  Just set the scene for a fun, relaxed time with friends and family. 

Forgo the big floral centerpiece for several smaller ones or bring in nature from your own back yard by using twigs, acorns, nuts, and other no-cost, but beautiful, decorations.

I was flipping through my November issue of Better Homes and Gardens yesterday as I came across a wonderful how-to article regarding closet organizing based on personality traits.  I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that one of the professional organizers showcased in the article is John Trosko of Los Angeles.  I had the opportunity to meet and enjoy lunch with John one day at the NAPO Annual Conference this May in Orlando, Florida. 

In the article, John does a nice job informing shoe lovers how to best organize their precious pairs. 

Here’s an interesting fact:  The average woman owns 40 – 60 pairs of shoes…just wait until I tell my husband!
