Professional organizers all across the country are gearing up for numerous community events this month as part of the annual event, Get Organized (GO) Month.
Get Organized (GO) Month is an annual event in its 5th year. The event is sponsored by the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and is dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of getting organized and of hiring a NAPO professional organizer.
Get Organized (GO) Month promotes the benefits of getting and staying organized, including time and money savings, increased productivity, improved quality of life and reduced stress. During GO Month, NAPO’s dozens of chapters and thousands of members will hold public events throughout the country to help you get started.
The following information is an excerpt from the NAPO website:
Of 400 adults polled in a November 2008 survey (by NAPO), about 85 % indicated an awareness of what professional organizers do. Other findings include:
96% said they would save time every day by becoming better organized.
-
- Of those, 15 percent of respondents felt they could save more than an hour each day — for a total of more than 15 days per year — if they were more organized at home
- Of those, 30 percent of respondents felt they could save at least 30 minutes each day — or more than an entire week per year — if they were more organized at home
Since 65 percent of respondents noted that their household was at least moderately disorganized and 27 percent said they feel disorganized at work, it is clear that the general public could benefit from, and in fact needs the services of, professional organizers.
